SENSA has five main branches which contribute to our sustainability...
We host the VIP: Very Impactful People Speaker Series every Fall and Spring quarter, bringing social entrepreneurs, innovators, and visionaries from every industry and every corner of the globe. They come to speak about their experiences in social entrepreneurship, sharing the lessons they've learned along the way. We also make filmed content available to the wider community through our YouTube channel, which you can find at youtube.com/StanfordSENSA.
SENSA Labs is the premier on-campus Social Enterprise Incubator. SENSA Labs is open to all Stanford students interested in creating social enterprises and is a follow on to Urban Studies 133. Most groups that enter have already formed a team that they are interested in formalizing into an organization: whether for-profit or non-profit. Labs provides support for the teams it inducts in legal structure, funding, marketing, and impact assessment, amongst others.
The pre-professional team exposes the wider Stanford community to a potential career in social impact by connecting Stanford students with mentors and career opportunities. We achieve this mission through:
•curating a Social Impact Fellows Program that allows students to gain paid, highly coveted internships at high-growth social enterprises
• working across organizations to re-brand how the social sector recruits students
Events & Workshops
Our team focuses on developing the social entrepreneurship ecosystem on campus by offering students events and workshops they can actively participate in. In the past, these have included a lunch series workshop with recent alumnus as well as an impact investment workshop. We look forward to providing new opportunities to the student body.
We promote the efficiency and sustainability of SENSA's internal and external operations by building relationships with partners, other student organizations and strengthen relationships within SENSA.
