SENSA's mission is to develop Stanford's social entrepreneurial ecosystem by promoting, coordinating, and enhancing the Social Entrepreneurship offerings to educate and connect students to resources.

TEAM

TEAM

SENSA has five main branches which contribute to our sustainability...

VIP

We host the VIP: Very Impactful People Speaker Series every Fall and Spring quarter, bringing social entrepreneurs, innovators, and visionaries from every industry and every corner of the globe. They come to speak about their experiences in social entrepreneurship, sharing the lessons they've learned along the way. We also make filmed content available to the wider community through our YouTube channel, which you can find at youtube.com/StanfordSENSA.

SENSA Labs

SENSA Labs is the premier on-campus Social Enterprise Incubator. SENSA Labs is open to all Stanford students interested in creating social enterprises and is a follow on to Urban Studies 133. Most groups that enter have already formed a team that they are interested in formalizing into an organization: whether for-profit or non-profit. Labs provides support for the teams it inducts in legal structure, funding, marketing, and impact assessment, amongst others.

Pre Professional

The pre-professional team exposes the wider Stanford community to a potential career in social impact by connecting Stanford students with mentors and career opportunities. We achieve this mission through:

•curating a Social Impact Fellows Program that allows students to gain paid, highly coveted internships at high-growth social enterprises
• working across organizations to re-brand how the social sector recruits students

Internal Learning

Our team focuses on developing the social entrepreneurship ecosystem on campus by hosting events and workshops for the student body. Past events include lunch n'learn speaker series, impact investment workshops, and fireside chats. We look forward to providing new opportunities to the student body.

Chief of Staff

We promote the efficiency and sustainability of SENSA's operations by fostering relationships with external partners, building relationships with other student organizations. Moreover, we provide programming for leadership development.

Joshua Browder, Stanford '19
Forbes 30 under 30 '17

"SENSA allowed me to turn DoNotPay, a side project, into a startup. From world class investor introductions, to inspiring speakers, I particularly liked how small the class was. In our batch, there were more course staff than participants, which meant that everybody got the attention they needed to succeed."
